Hundreds gather at Rockefeller Center in New York City on March 18, 2003 for a "die-in" to protest the invasion of Iraq.  At a chosen time all protesters promptly laid down in the middle of 5th Avenue and were arrested en masse.  The demonstration was organized by the M27 Coalition, beginning a day of multiple direct actions against the war throughout the city.  The M27 Coalition, a loose grouping of activist organizations, chose the locale because if its proximity to various media and corporate offices it professed were profiting, either directly or indirectly, from the war.
